Based on research and analysis of forest data, the institute develops forest policies for forest resource development, forest disaster response, and enhanced forest welfare services, and supports the efficient management of forest resources. Furthermore, it promotes industrial development in related fields through the utilization of forest data.

The institute fosters specialized personnel capable of understanding and integrating intelligent information and communication technology with forest data, thereby strengthening forest data management and analysis capabilities. Forest data experts, as facilitators of forestry administration efficiency, will lead the way in improving the quality of forest data and the intelligence of the forestry sector.

We design and establish a data quality management system to maintain reliable data. This system supports forest management data management and decision-making by ensuring accuracy, consistency, timeliness, traceability, and suitability throughout the entire forest data collection, production, management, and utilization process.

We utilize AI technology to innovatively improve the forest data collection, storage, processing, and analysis processes and actively apply intelligent information technology to forestry informatization. We accumulate and share ideas and know-how on project implementation results for the advancement of forest informatization, and we perform outsourced management of informatization projects.

We build a cooperative network with domestic and international forestry-related organizations and companies to introduce and disseminate global standards for forest data management and identify and support outstanding forest digital technologies for overseas expansion.
